1950 SiaSpeed: Abrasive wheels for dry grinding (150 mm)
Series 1950 SiaSpeed is a premium, versatile abrasive that features extremely high material removal rates and exceptional wear resistance. Thanks to the special coating Siafast and a stearate layer, the wheels are practically not clogged with dust, which significantly extends their service life and ensures uniform scratching without deep scratches.
Main characteristics and configuration:
-
Hole configuration 14+1: The hole arrangement system (14 around the perimeter and 1 central) ensures effective dust removal when using standard sanding pads. This prevents overheating of the surface and the formation of dust “lumps”.
-
Material: A mixture of high quality semi-brittle aluminum oxide and ceramic corundum (in large gradations). This combination guarantees aggressiveness at the start and stability during operation.
Professional’s choice: Abrasives SiaSpeed Ideal for sanding putties, primers and fillers, as well as for processing hard varnishes (ceramic and UHS). Thanks to a wide range of grain sizes, you can go through the entire surface preparation cycle – from rough leveling to a final matte finish for painting.
| Grit (P) | Work stage | Main task | Recommendation for use |
| P120 | Rough Alignment | Sanding polyester putties, removing old paintwork down to metal. | Ideal for creating a flat surface on large parts. |
| P240 | Intermediate stage | Grinding the filler primer (primary pass), removing small irregularities. | Allows you to quickly “cut” shagreen soil. |
| P320 | Soil preparation | Final sanding of primer for thick acrylic enamels or dark colors. | Optimal balance between speed and smoothness. |
| P400 | Final preparation | Grinding of primer for standard base coats (solvent bases). | The most popular abrasive before painting most parts. |
| P500 | Fine preparation | Preparing the surface for complex colors (silver, mother-of-pearl, light bases). | Minimizes the risk of base subsidence and visibility risks. |
| P600 | Super finish | Matting of old varnish in the transition zone, preparation for critical light metallics. | Used for ideal placement of grain in the base. |
| P1000 | Ultra finish | Removing small debris on varnish, matting for complex transitions on varnish. | Recommended for use with a soft backing (interface). |
| P1500 | Final cleaning | Removing the smallest inclusions of debris, final preparation of the varnish for shine. | Allows you to quickly display the surface in a “mirror”. |
