Baslac 35 Line Basecoat

Baslac 35 Line Basecoat is a professional conveyor system for finishing base paints on an organic (solvent) basis. The system consists of a wide range of liquid base mixes (solids, metallics, pearls and xeralics), which are mixed according to weight formulas in a specialized computer program to recreate absolutely any car shade.

Paints of the 35th series are focused on the classic “base + varnish” painting technology. Thanks to a high concentration of high-quality European pigments from BASF, the system guarantees excellent coverage, economical consumption of materials and high speed of work at all stages of painting elements.

Key advantages of the system:

• High solids and pigment content (High Solid): Has excellent hiding power (density). Most factory colors will completely cover the contrast primer in just 2 full coats, minimizing the number of passes.

• Minimum material consumption: Due to the high concentration of tints, the ready-to-apply mixture requires significantly less than when using budget third-party enamels.

• Ultra-short flash-off time: The solvent base evaporates quickly. The varnish becomes matte literally before our eyes (about 10 minutes at +20°C), which significantly speeds up the process of keeping the car in the painting and drying chamber.

• Ideal grain positioning: Aluminum powder (metallics) and effect particles (pearl) are distributed perfectly evenly in the paint layer. This eliminates the appearance of such common defects as “cloudy”, “apple-colored” or dark spots.

• Impeccable Color Matching: The system is 100% integrated into the BASF digital ecosystem: online program Global Color Finder and a modern spectrophotometer. This allows the colorist to accurately select colors for both European, Asian and American cars.

• Ease of application and smooth transitions: The paint applies softly and washes out perfectly when painting with a transition (“spot”), without forming a rough step at the border of the repair area.
